Employers Increasingly Mandating CPR Training for Workers

More and more, companies are realizing the importance of CPR training for their employees.

It just makes sense.  Employees spend their entire days in the office amongst co-workers, and the risk for someone undergoing cardiac arrest is unfortunately always prevalent.  And when it occurs, every second counts.

A company’s Human Resources or Operations department can simply contact a local CPR training provider to arrange the course.  Courses should be held every two years, upon which employees should re-take the class.

The classes themselves need not distract employees from their work; the average course can take approximately 4-5 hours, depending on the training provider, and should be conducted at the employer’s premises.

Participants should be prepared in advance.  For as example, as they will be engaged in hands-on activity, so they are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and if they have long hair, wear it back.
Lastly, it is recommended that the courses adhere to American Heart Association guidelines.

I spent 15 years as a firefighter and paramedic...

And too often I would arrive on the scene of someone unconscious, surrounded by a circle of people feeling helpless. Sometimes those people would even have CPR training but lacked the confidence and experience to act.

That’s why I started SureFire CPR. Our classes are practical and engaging – teaching you the crucial skills you need to know what to do and feel empowered to take action.
