I took my ACLS renewal here and I was amazed at how detailed and helpful the instructor was. I am a Labor and Delivery nurse and I am not too familiar with reading cardiac strips but attending this class made me understand it more and use the logic they taught. I have been a nurse for 15 years and it was even my first time injecting an Intraosseous infusion (IO) on a mannequin. It felt awesome. Now I can do to my patients without fear.
I’ve been coming to SureFire CPR to renew my BLS and ACLS since I was in nursing school almost 10 years ago! The instructors are so knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. I always learn something new and I love hearing everyone’s real-world experiences with CPR! They make learning the material such a breeze and really fun. I highly recommend Surefire CPR for healthcare professionals of all levels, whether you’re a nursing student or have been working in healthcare for many, many years.
Amazing amazing course! I’m going into residency and needed to get ACLS certified. I was worried about my capability about running a code in the hospital but SureFire made me feel SO comfortable after I left. The review guide given is great and our instructor, Robert did a fantastic job. He was enthusiastic throughout the entire in person course and broke down everything into basic terms with tricks on how he remembers things. One of the best instructors out there would 10/10 recommend!
I spent 15 years as a firefighter and paramedic, and I used my ACLS training daily…
ACLS gives medical professionals the skills and confidence necessary to take control during cardiac emergencies. When you’re on the scene with a patient, decisive action can be the difference between life and death. After receiving ACLS training, you’ll know exactly how to help.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a certification that helps prepare medical professionals treating patients facing life-threatening cardiac conditions like cardiac arrest, stroke, and more.
The Advanced Cardiac Life Support Initial class is scheduled for about 10 hours, where the renewal class is about 6 hours.
If you take our ACLS Hybrid course, the online portion takes about 3-8 hours to complete and the in office skills check with the instructor is about 30 minutes.
Once you receive your ACLS certification card, your card will be valid for 2 years.
Our ACLS hybrid course allows you to complete the training modules online. After completing the online portion, you’ll schedule a brief in-person skills check at any of our locations.
The initial class is required for first-time students or students that let their certification expire.
Renewal courses are offered to students who have taken the ACLS class before and whose certification is current and unexpired.
For the instructor led ACLS initial and renewal class, you’ll need to complete a mandatory pretest that’s required by the American Heart Association (AHA).
For the ACLS hybrid class, you’ll need to complete your online training modules.
After registering for either course, you will receive an email confirmation with directions on how to access the preclass work.
The AHA no longer allows students to challenge the course as of September 2017. We recommend taking an ACLS Online with Skills Check instead.
After you successfully pass the class, you will receive an email within 24 hours from firstname.lastname@example.org. The American Heart Association provides you with directions on how to claim your certification card.
The American Heart Association recommends that you have access to the book while your certification is current but it is not a requirement to have one during the class. We have books available for purchase at all four of our locations.
We do provide a study guide in your confirmation email that you can print out and bring with you to class.
We offer CE’s for the EMS and RN board. The ACLS instructor led initial class will receive 10 units and the renewal class will receive 6 units.
For the ACLS Hybrid class, all license types can receive CE or CME’s through your AHA student platform after completing your online modules.
