Neonatal Resuscitation Program Guidelines

The Neonate Resuscitation Program Class Orange County (NRP) is one of many life-saving courses taught by SureFire CPR to individuals and professionals. NRP is an education program of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association. The program introduces the concepts and basic skills of neonatal resuscitation.

The NRP course is designed to teach an evidence-based approach to resuscitation of a newborn. The causes, prevention and management of mild to severe neonatal asphyxia are carefully explained so health professionals may develop optimal skill and knowledge in resuscitation.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recently reformatted the course to require all students to complete the online 6th Edition NRP examination prior to class, so students must bring a completed exam certificate to participate in the NRP course.

To take the exam, visitwww.aap.org/nrp. You have 30 days to complete the NRP course after the completion of the written exam. Visit http://surefirecpr.enrollware.com/registration/schedule.aspx to enroll in a class today.

I spent 15 years as a firefighter and paramedic...

And too often I would arrive on the scene of someone unconscious, surrounded by a circle of people feeling helpless. Sometimes those people would even have CPR training but lacked the confidence and experience to act.

That’s why I started SureFire CPR. Our classes are practical and engaging – teaching you the crucial skills you need to know what to do and feel empowered to take action.
