I love going to SureFire! Everyone of the instructors are either nursing students, nurses, emts, paramedics, or firefighters that work in the healthcare field. All the instructors are great and very helpful and stop and ask you if you have any questions to make sure that they are making themselves clear. Locations are convenient and have plenty of availability. If you miss your date you have chances to reschedule and make it up!
3rd time renewing PALS + BLS at this facility. Have referred numerous colleagues and friends here. Easy to schedule and clear pre-test instructions were emailed. Plenty of parking! Granola bars, fruit snacks and k-cup coffees provided. Today our instructor was Will and he was clear, competent, approachable and thorough – made understanding the material much easier for me. Thank you for providing great instructors and wonderful learning environments!
This is an amazing team of people who helped make my PALS certification stress free. Will was an amazing teacher who clearly explained everything and is very knowledgeable about the content. I appreciate a company who is focused on helping you learn what you need to know to care for your patients rather than a high stress, test only focused experience. If you need to certify for the first time or renew, this place is THE best!!
I spent 15 years as a firefighter and paramedic, and I rely on PALS techniques…
Emergencies involving pediatric patients are some of the most challenging experiences a medical professional will face. Not only are they extremely upsetting, but pediatric cases also require a special set of skills and know-how. PALS training gives you the knowledge needed to provide young patients with the care they need in these difficult situations.

The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) class equips healthcare employees with the skills required to respond to pediatric emergencies.
A PALS certification indicates that you’ve been trained to administer emergency care to pediatric patients.
Once you receive your PALS certification card, your card will be valid for 2 years.
Any medical professional who might respond to pediatric emergencies should receive PALS training.
After you successfully pass the class, you will receive an email within 24 hours from the American Heart Association with directions on how to claim your certification card. All American Heart Association cards are digital and be accessed anytime.
The American Heart Association recommends that you have access to the book while your certification is current but it is not a requirement to have one during the class. We have books available for purchase at all four of our locations.
We do provide a study guide in your confirmation email that you can print out and bring with you to class.
For instructor led classes, we offer CE’s for the EMS and RN board. The PALS initial class will receive 10 units and the renewal class will receive 6 units.
For the APLS Hybrid class, all license types can receive CE or CME’s through your AHA student platform after completing your online modules.
The initial class is required for first-time students or students that let their certification expire.
Renewal courses are offered to students who have taken the PALS class before and whose certification is current and unexpired.
For the instructor led PALS initial and renewal class, you’ll need to complete a mandatory pretest that’s required by the American Heart Association (AHA).
For the PALS hybrid class, you’ll need to complete your online training modules.
After registering for either course, you will receive an email confirmation with directions on how to access the preclass work.
Our PALS hybrid course allows you to complete the training modules online. After completing the online portion, you’ll schedule a brief in-person skills check at any of our locations. To register for our PALS hybrid course, click here.
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support Initial class is scheduled for about 10 hours, where the renewal class is about 6 hours.
For the PALS Hybrid course, the online portion takes about 2-4 hours and the in office skills check is about 15 – 30 minutes.
