What I appreciate about SureFire is all their instructors work in the field. It’s one thing to learn in theory. Another to do in practice. But if I’m going to learn the theory first, I’m relieved the knowledge is coming from someone who has got in a lot of practice. Awesome instructor who makes the class interactive and making the content easy to understand. With SureFire, you’re in excellent

I just completed my first cpr & first aid class and to be honest I was really hesitant because I did not know what to expect but to say the least SureFire was amazing in every possible way. My instructor Kaylee was super friendly and informative. She made us laugh yet learn at the same time. The location is also super clean, I will definitely be coming back here to renew my

Did a quick research on CPR certifications nearby and this was one of the few places that had weekend CPR certifications.  Reserving the class is very easy. The 3 hours went by really quickly. The instructor, Justin, was very informative and structured the class very well and I learned a lot. Even if you don’t need to be certified for anything, this is still a really good course for anyone to

I spent 15 years as a firefighter and paramedic, I hope one day every building will have an AED…

And too often I would arrive on the scene of someone unconscious, surrounded by a circle of people feeling helpless. Sometimes those people would even have CPR training but lacked the confidence and experience to act.

AED Certification FAQ’s

AED stands for automated external defibrillator. An AED is a medical device used to restore heart function in the event of cardiac arrest. An AED class trains you how to use an AED and the proper intervention techniques for cardiovascular emergencies.

By getting AED certified, you’ve proven that you’re able to use an AED successfully and intervene in cardiovascular emergency situations.

Once you receive your AED certification card, your card will be valid for 2 years.

Anyone can take AED training and everyone should. You don’t need any previous medical experience to learn how to use an AED. It’s especially recommended for professionals like teachers, fitness trainers, and security guards.

At this time, we only offer AED certifications through in-person courses at our locations across Southern California.

The AED class is scheduled for about 2.5 hours.

We recommend students are a minimum of 8 years of age. As long as the student can sit through the class and perform the required skills and a test in order to obtain a certification card they are able to attend.

After you successfully pass the class, you will receive an email within 24 hours from info@hsi.com with your certification card.
